EXCUSE:
Since I did not go to art school I could not join any group of artists where I can try new ideas that occurred to me. I would like to use my web site as a substitute of a group exhibition. I am going to keep exhibiting my try outs here and hopefully some of them will be exhibited in my solo exhibition in the future when I am ready.
THEORY:
When I was in Vancouver at the end of the year 2000 an idea occurred to me. Paying attention to the relationship between a painter and his ongoing work, in my mind, I started to minimize the painter. Then, I could see a picture that is in progress.

REMARK 1:
Commercial success is neither a goal of art nor a goal of life. However, it is the only way for a painter to survive.
REMARK 2:
I placed the 3-dimensional human figure and the golden chair on the picture and then placed the entire painting on a horizontal surface. How does it look?

REMARK 1:
When I exhibited "Vacant Room" and "Waiting" (September, 2000), I also exhibited "Waiting" (March, 2001), although it was incomplete, I still performed to show how to paint on the stainless mesh and how it makes subtle shadows on the back. I called the canvas I developed with stainless mesh "Marginal Canvas".
With the "Marginal Canvas", I could experiment different styles of pictures and I also used the "Marginal Canvas" as a filter through which a picture can be taken. I would like to paint on the stainless mesh wall of a tennis court or outdoor basketball court, when allowed, in order to experiment the interaction between a picture and its environment.
REMARK 2:
I have already showed my idea that a painter is destined to be less than his own works. I also think that a picture is determined to be ruined eventually. I have tried to show such an idea in my work "A Landscape in Alberta".
